Dave Thomas has served as a Business Advisor to Paragon Sports Consulting since its founding in 2019. A former college hockey captain and experienced hockey advisor, Dave brings invaluable on-ice and industry expertise to the firm.

A graduate of Colgate University, where he played in 140 games and served as team captain his senior year, Dave also played junior hockey in Central Pennsylvania, AAA hockey in Wisconsin, prep school hockey at Deerfield Academy, and one professional season in Europe. From 2010 to 2018, he worked as a player advisor and agent at Cornerstone Management alongside longtime NHL agent Steve Mountain.

Dave draws upon his unique background as a player, agent, and businessman to provide strategic guidance to Paragon Sports Consulting. He works closely with Founder Colby Drost, offering business, operational, and hockey-specific advice to help grow the firm and deliver outstanding outcomes for its young athletes and families.

Dave graduated summa cum laude from Colgate with a degree in Philosophy and received the University’s highest honor, the 1819 Award. Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he currently resides in Ambler, PA, where he works with HUB International’s Private Client Group as a high-net-worth personal lines property and casualty broker.
