Champlin Park hockey standout Brent Solomon, a 2025 graduate, was selected in the 4th round of the NHL draft by the Detroit Red Wings.

Solomon participated in the Red Wings Development camp with other prospects the weekend after the draft.

Solomon had 38 goals and 18 assists as a senior this season for Section 5AA runnerup Champlin Park.

He played junior hockey for Sioux Falls of the U.S.H.L. after the high school season, and will play there in the upcoming season.

Solomon has committed to Wisconsin for college hockey.
