Paragon Sports Consulting client Rylan Hanson has earned an invitation to the 2026 USA Hockey Hlinka Gretzky Cup Selection Camp, taking another significant step in his development on the international stage.

The selection camp, which will be held July 23-27 in St. Paul, Minnesota, will feature 36 of the top American players born in 2009 competing for a spot on the U.S. Under-18 Men’s Select Team. The final 23-player roster will represent the United States at the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, taking place August 3-8 in Edmonton, Alberta, against many of the world’s top hockey nations.

Hanson, a defenseman on the Muskegon Lumberjacks’ affiliate list, earned his invitation following a strong showing at the USA Hockey Boys National 17 Festival, where the nation’s top 2009-born players were evaluated by USA Hockey’s national staff.

The Hlinka Gretzky Cup has long been recognized as one of the premier international tournaments for NHL Draft-eligible players, providing an opportunity for elite prospects to compete against the best under-18 talent from around the world. Many current NHL stars have participated in the event early in their careers, making it one of the most heavily scouted tournaments outside of the IIHF World Junior Championship.
