Paragon Sports Consulting is proud to congratulate Landon Nycz on being selected by the St. Louis Blues with the 107th overall pick (Fourth Round) in the 2026 NHL Draft.
A 6-foot-2 left-shot defenseman from Detroit, Michigan, Nycz completed an impressive freshman season at the University of Massachusetts after developing through the United States Hockey League with the Waterloo Black Hawks and Sioux City Musketeers. Widely regarded for his elite skating ability, mobility, and reliable two-way game, Nycz steadily climbed NHL Draft rankings throughout the season before hearing his name called by the Blues.
Ranked among the top North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting, Nycz earned praise from coaches and scouts alike for his exceptional skating, hockey IQ, and ability to transition the puck efficiently. His combination of size, defensive awareness, and offensive upside makes him an exciting long-term addition to the St. Louis Blues organization.
“Landon has earned every bit of this opportunity through his work ethic, consistency, and commitment to improving every day,” said Colby Drost, Principal of Paragon Sports Consulting. “He’s the type of player who continues to trend upward because he embraces development, and we’re excited to see him begin the next chapter of his career with the St. Louis Blues. This is a tremendous accomplishment for Landon and his family.”
Paragon Sports Consulting congratulates Landon, his family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who has played a role in his journey. We look forward to following his continued development as he begins his professional path with the St. Louis Blues organization.
